SWELLABLE TAPE FOR ELECTRIC CABLE AND FABRICATING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A swellable tape for electric cable and a fabricating method thereof are provided to enhance the absorption and the thermal endurance by using a mixture of vinyl-based liquefied resin and sodium polyscrylate. CONSTITUTION: A lower non-woven fabric(301) of thick thickness is formed by using polyester as the principal element. A vinyl-based liquefied resin(302) is coated on an upper portion of the lower non-woven fabric(301). A mixture of sodium polyscrylate(303) and powder adhesive(304) is dipped into the vinyl-based liquefied resin(302). An upper non-woven fabric(305) of thin thickness is formed by using polyester as the principal element. The upper non-woven fabric(305) of thin thickness is adhered on an upper portion of the vinyl-based liquefied resin(302). A swellable tape is fabricated by performing a heating process, a pressing process, and a drying process.
