METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PELLET OF ELECTRON GUN CATHODE

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a pellet is provided to allow impregnation for each individual cathode base to be performed in a stable manner, while reducing processing time and achieving improved quality of the pellet. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the first step of producing an electron emitting material into a paste state; the second step of printing the paste of electron emitting material to the surface of a cathode base(32); and the third step of producing a pellet by putting the cathode base printed with the paste of electron emitting material into a hydrogen or vacuum furnace and performing a molten impregnating process. The paste of electron emitting material is produced by mixing an organic binder and solvent to BaO, CaO, and Al2O3.
