PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling an optical fiber polarization and a system for reducing the degree of polarization are provided to output a pair of linearly polarized light beams, each of the linearly polarized beams being vertical to each other, and to easily construct the feedback controller by configuring the polarization control block with a wavelength plate and a polarization maintaining optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling an optical fiber polarization includes a single mode optical fiber(120), a wavelength plate(110) rotatably connected in such a way that one end of the single mode optical fiber(110) is optically connected to one end of the wavelength plate(110) and a polarization maintaining optical fiber(130) rotatably connected in such a way that the other end of the single mode optical fiber(110) is optically connected to one end of the polarization maintaining optical fiber(130).
