<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively perform charging and data communication when portable information terminals are used in an event holding place. SOLUTION: A charging station 1 has a charging function for portable information terminals 5 and a data communication function, which, during charging of the terminals 5, allows to send read-history information from the terminal 5 to a data management device 2, and to send update contents from the device 2 to the terminal 5. When updating the contents, the program can select a batch update mode or an individual update mode, and send the contents by its difference only. The read-history information read out from the terminal 5 is eliminated from an HDD built in the terminal 5. A storage part 12, which is provided in a frame of the charging station 1 to act as a plug unit, stores the terminal 5 and is so structured that the terminal 5 can not be taken out until a release button 13 is depressed.</p> |
