PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus using a driving device for a photoreceptor drum where a situation that the rotary shaft of a photoreceptor drum is decentered hardly influences color slurring even in such a case and banding hardly occurs. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is provided with an acceleration driving motor 105A generating motive force in the forward direction to the rotating direction of the photoreceptor drum 109 and a deceleration driving motor 105B in the reverse direction thereto so as to control the rotating speed of the drum 109 to be fixed one. After specified torque is applied to the motor 105A and specified counter torque is applied to the motor 105B, torque required for the acceleration of the drum 109 is applied to the motor 105A further, and torque required for the deceleration of the drum 109 is applied to the motor 105B further. It is desirable to set the outside diameter of a driven pulley 108 larger than that of the drum 109. It is conceivable to provide an auxiliary pulley 110 inside a timing belt 100 between two driving pulleys 106A and 106B. |
