PLASMA DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide a plasma display device capable of easily coping with high gradation display and high definition display. CONSTITUTION: This plasma display device is provided with a high-speed scanning means by which a plurality of kinds of sub-pixels provided in an address electrode direction are addressed simultaneously and independently by second conductive layers 108 each of which is connected to one electrode among a plurality of address electrodes and a gradation display means which uses jointly a gradation display means which performs the assigning of intensity levels by controlling the number of lighting of the plurality of sub-pixels in stages and a gradation display means by intra-field time division which divides one field into a plurality of sub-frames and makes a desired pixel light up for the period of a desired sub-frame.
