PURPOSE: A method for providing data service in a digital broadcasting system is provided to display summary information related with programs at a lower part of a monitor to help a viewer select a program. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcasting system receives broadcasting data of a program selected by a viewer together with data broadcasting information from a broadcasting station. An indicator that indicates reception of the data broadcasting information is displayed on a monitor and, at the same time, summary information of the data broadcasting information is displayed on the monitor(S320,S330). The summary information is provided in ticker mode. The viewer selects desired text information by pushing a button only once using the summary information. |
