PURPOSE: A system and a method for controlling an immobilizer of a vehicle are provided to completely prevent the theft of a vehicle by relating an immobilizer control unit with an in-panel power control module controlling power distribution and to solve the problems in maintenance due to a starter motor and an immobilizer system. CONSTITUTION: A system for controlling an immobilizer of a vehicle comprises a transponder(210), an antenna coil(220) for the communication of the transponder, an immobilizer control unit(230) wirelessly communicating with the transponder and receiving a signal corresponding to the password of a vehicle, an in-panel power control module(240) performing data-communication with the immobilizer control unit, and an engine control unit communicating with the immobilizer control unit through CAN(Controller Area Network) communication. |
