摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring a signal delay between a base station and a BSC(Base Station Controller) in an asynchronous IMT(International Mobile Telecommunication)-2000 system is provided to measure a signal delay time between the base station and the BSC by transmitting a certain test signal through an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) transmission line between the base station and the BSC. CONSTITUTION: The first counter(248) counts a clock signal, and transmits the first level signal when the certain number of clocks is counted. A switching unit(245) controls a path for transmitting the first level signal provided from the first counter(248) to a base station or transmitting an ATM cell signal. A buffer(246) outputs a signal inputted from the base station to an ATM cell transmission path or a feedback path. The second counter(250) counts a clock signal on the basis of a certain control signal. The second counter driving unit(249) drives the second counter(250) on the basis of the first level signal provided from the first counter(248), and stops the driving of the second counter(250) on the basis of the first level signal inputted from the buffer(246). A control unit measures a signal delay on the basis of count information from the second counter(250).
