PURPOSE: To provide a crane equipped with a lock mechanism of a connecting pin of an auxiliary jib having a simple structure capable of securing safety in overhanging work and lock work of the auxiliary jib. CONSTITUTION: The lock mechanism of the connecting pin 23 of the auxiliary jib 30 operates the connecting pin 23 inserted and removed to each pin fitting part of the tip part of a boom 20 and the base end part of the auxiliary jib 30 by a cylinder rod 22b of a hydraulic cylinder 22, and a lock plate member 34 is turned to cover the cylinder rod 22b when the connecting pin 23 is located in the lock position, thereby accomplishing mechanical locking. When a manual lever 36 provided at the tip of the auxiliary jib 30 is operated, a lock plate member 34 is remote-operated through an interlocking member such as a push- pull wire 37. In the overhanging work of the auxiliary jib 30, the lock mechanism can be directly operated while a worker still stands on the ground only by operating the manual lever 36 provided on the tip of the auxiliary jib.
