PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which can realize automatic imaging of the picture including the particular object. SOLUTION: The camera (digital camera) 10 is programmed not to pickup a picture when the particular object is not included within the imaging angle. The particular object is also used as a camera cover 30 and is then transferred to a person as the imaging object in the imaging time. The camera 10 analyzes contents of picture picked up and automatically discriminates whether the particular object is included in the imaging angle or not. When the particular object is detected, the moving picture is recorded automatically for the predetermined period and thereafter still picture is recorded. During recording of the moving picture, the count-down sound is outputted from the camera cover 30. It is possible to enjoy the reactions for the particular object by picking up these reactions together with the particular object. The camera body includes a liquid crystal display and functions as a digital album which allows read of the pictures accumulated.
