PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic part mounting apparatus for detecting a bring-back part correctly and effectively, and to provide a method for detecting the bring-back part in the electronic part mounting apparatus. SOLUTION: In the electronic part mounting apparatus, an electronic part is picked up by a suction nozzle and mounted on a board. To detect a bring- back part held still by a suction nozzle even after the mounting operation, in which the suction nozzle holding the electronic part by suction is moved up and down and the electronic part is mounted on the board, a flow rate of air sucked by the suction nozzle and passed through a vacuum suction circuit is measured by a flow-rate sensor provided at the vacuum suction circuit which connects the suction nozzle and the vacuum suction source after the mounting operation. Then, a flow-rate pattern for indicating a change of flow rate in time is sought and compared with previously set flow-rate data to determine whether there is an electronic part at an lower edge of the suction nozzle or not. As a result, the bring-back part can be detected correctly and effectively. |
