<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic developer comprising a durable carrier which has high developing ability, effectively prevents so-called spending, that is, formation of a toner film on its surface and is free of impairment of excellent characteristics even in long-term use and a toner which retains excellent characteristics over a long period of time in various environments when combined with the carrier and to provide an image forming method and apparatus. SOLUTION: In the two-component electrophotographic developer having the above toner and carrier, the toner has a magnetic powder as an additive, the carrier is a resin coated magnetic carrier having a true specific gravity of 6.0-8.0 and the coating resin is a silicone resin containing a crosslinker having phenyl groups and an aminosilane coupling agent. The proportion of the phenyl groups in the crosslinker in the coating resin of the carrier is 0.2-15% by number.</p> |
