The seat comprises a seat part (10) and a back (2) having contiguous edges along a line (C-C'). Either the back or seat part have an indentation (12) with two opposite sides emerging on the contiguous edge of the back or seat part. The seat part or back is extended in a direction perpendicular to its general direction by a tongue (11) complementary in shape and dimensions to those of the indentation. The free edges of the indentation and those of the tongue have complementary sliding means. An Independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing the seat.
