PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required to start displaying on a display device while suppressing the increase in power consumption of a display driving device. SOLUTION: When POCB signals are inputted or when power save releasing signals are inputted, a discriminating circuit 30b compares a monitor voltage inputted from a voltage regulator circuit 52 with a prescribed voltage. Until the monitor voltage reaches the prescribed voltage, a CP generating circuit 30c outputs clock pulse signals CP1. The circuit 52 conducts voltage boosting operations in accordance with the signals CP1. When the monitor voltages reaches the prescribed voltage, the circuit 30c outputs clock pulse signals CP2. The circuit 52 conducts voltage boosting operations in accordance with the signals CP2, holds the generated voltage and supplies the voltage to the display device.
