PURPOSE: A portable terminal is provided to offer guide information on a museum or an art gallery previously stored at a flash memory chip. CONSTITUTION: The terminal comprises a main body(10) and a flash memory chip(11). The main body(10) includes a keypad(13), a connector(14) and an earphone jack(15). The connector(14) connects the flash memory chip(11) to the main body(10). The flash memory chip(11) stores the detailed guide information on exhibits displayed at an exhibition, e,g., a museum or an art gallery, and additional information, e.g. entertainment information or a game software. The guide information can be classified according to a usage language or an exhibition place. If the flash memory chip(11) is inserted into the main body(10), the guide information stored at the chip(11) is read by a microprocessor of the main body(10) and corresponding images or voices are output. The guide information can include a complete view of the exhibition, and positions of the exhibits. A guide module of the main body(10) offers a historical background, an author or a trend on a specific exhibit. The user can search for a specific exhibit with his or her mother language by using the keypad(13).
