PURPOSE: An apparatus for transmitting signals between a base station and a BSC(Base Station Controller) in an asynchronous IMT(International Mobile Telecommunication)-2000 system is provided to transmit and receive data having a transmission format except for an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) cell through an ATM cell transmission line between the base station and the BSC. CONSTITUTION: The first and second transmitting and receiving terminals(101,102) connect to transmitting and receiving terminals of a frame converting unit(13). The second transmitting and receiving terminals(103,104) connect to transmitting and receiving terminals of a pulse transformer(12). A path control unit(105) controls a transmission path of signals on the basis of a control signal provided from a control unit(200). A buffer(108) stores a signal provided from the second transmitting terminal(103), and selectively outputs the stored signal to the path control unit(105) or the first receiving terminal(102) on the basis of a certain enable signal. A switching unit(107) selectively outputs signals provided from the first transmitting terminal(101) and the path control unit(105) to the second receiving terminal(104). A path setup unit(106) sets output paths of the buffer(108) and the switching unit(107) on the basis of a mode selecting signal provided from the path control unit(105). |
