PURPOSE: To surely prevent break of an electric connector by substantially increasing the bonding strength between an outer wall shell and an inner wall shell, and increasing prying resistant strength to prying force applied from a mating connector. CONSTITUTION: This electric connector is equipped with an insulating body 100 arranging a connecting part 110 in the height direction, to which the mating connector 400 is connected; the outer wall shell 200 placed on the body to cover the connecting part and having an opening on the surface side; and the inner wall shell 300 partitioning the connecting part. Both end parts in the width direction of an intermediate part 310 of the inner wall shell are extended and engaged with the outer wall shell, at least one end part is formed almost in a U-shaped insertion part 311 standing up from the surface side to the back side as viewed from the width direction, and two tip parts 311a on the back side of the insertion part are engaged with two slits 220 formed in the outer wall shell. |
