PURPOSE: A guardrail for a road is provided to minimize the damage of a post in an accident by heightening the strength of a post and to improve shock-absorbing effects by absorbing impact force. CONSTITUTION: The guardrail for a road is installed by fixing a guardrail plate(4) to a post(1) where a buffer bracket(2) is interposed by a fixing bolt, and the post(1) is provided with an insertion groove formed longitudinally, the buffer bracket(2) is made with cushiony materials such as rubber and provided with a projection to be interposed in an insertion groove of the post(1), and the guardrail plate(4) is folded and provided with a folding part whose inclined upper end or upper/lower ends are folded toward an intermediate plane.
