PURPOSE: A design method of a digital graphic equalizer system is provided to obtain a desired frequency response by minimizing a mutual interference of equalizer filters installed at different bands, and to represent a user-established performance by making a ripple of a frequency response small. CONSTITUTION: A design method of a digital graphic equalizer system having a plurality of IIR filters comprises dividing a measure frequency region into a plurality of frequency bands, making the divided frequency bands correspond to the IIR filters respectively, fixing a gain of each of the IIR filters to a predetermined value, calculating a difference between the fixed value and a frequency response of the IIR filter with respect to the measure frequency region, and establishing Q for minimizing the difference as a Q value of the IIR filters.
