PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the legibility of characters being insufficient, when using a method of magnifying all the character sizes of the display screen by the same magnification, for making the characters displayed on the display screen easy to view, in a portable terminal with a small display screen. SOLUTION: Only each character of a character string in a line 26, where a cursor 27 is moved, is magnified and displayed in comparison with each character of other lines when character display magnification is set. According to this, only each character of the line with the cursor 27 can be emphasized, in comparison with each character of other lines by a simple operation of moving the cursor 27 to the character string which is desired to be read, thereby enabling the character string to be legible. In addition to magnification of the characters, it can be made further legible by changing character colors, background colors, fonts or the like and inserting a blank line between an arbitrary line and adjacent line using the cursor. |
