PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode manufacturing apparatus and a method, in which an electrode mix can be coated simultaneously on both sides of a current collector. SOLUTION: The equipment comprises a first coating means for applying the electrode mix on one side of the power collector, a second coating means abutting on the other side of the current collector for coating the electrode mix, a regulating roll 5 for regulating the contact pressure between the current collector and the second coater by oscillating a shaft while abutting on either plane of the electrode 90', measuring means 52 and 53 for measuring the difference in the thickness in the widthwise direction of the electrode mix coated on the other side of the current collector, and an oscillation means for oscillating the regulation roll 5 to reduce the contact pressure on a side whose thickness measured by the measuring means 52 and 53 is small.
