METHOD FOR FORMING PHOSPHOR LAYER OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PURPOSE: A method for forming a phosphor layer of a plasma display panel is provided to achieve improved uniformity of color by preventing the phosphor from being mixed with the adjacent cell during formation of the phosphor layer between barrier ribs. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the first step of coating the phosphor powder with a wax; the second step of charging the surface of the phosphor powder coated with the wax; the third step of applying a voltage having the polarity opposite to the polarity of the electric charge of the phosphor powder, to the second electrode; the fourth step of moving the phosphor powder to the second electrode, and attaching the phosphor powder on the second dielectric layer covering the second electrode; and the fifth step of melting the wax coated at the surface of the phosphor powder by applying heat to the phosphor powder attached on the second dielectric layer.
