PURPOSE: A method for fixing a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) wireless data modem in the manufacture of a cellular GPS(Global Positioning System) and a fixed assembly therefor are provided to strongly fix the CDMA wireless data modem when assembling the CDMA wireless data modem on a main PCB of the GPS. CONSTITUTION: A shield(1) supports a main PCB(2), and bosses(10) are formed at upper and lower portions of the shield(1). A penetration hole is formed in a position same to the position of the bosses(10) of the shield(1) in the main PCB(2), and the main PCB(2) is inserted into the bosses(10) of the shield(1). A penetration hole(12) is formed in a position same to the bosses(10) of the shield(1) in a CDMA wireless data modem(4). A plurality of terminal pins(6) are formed at both sides, and are inserted into the main PCB(2) and the CDMA wireless data modem(4) for fixing the main PCB(2) and the CDMA wireless data modem(4). A taptite screw(8) is formed as a non-circular type at its end. After the main PCB(2) is inserted into the bosses(10) of the shield(1), the CDMA wireless data modem(4) is fixed on the main PCB(2) through the terminal pins(6). The bosses(10) of the shield(1) are fixed in the penetration hole(12) of the CDMA wireless data modem(4) by the taptite screw(8).
