PURPOSE: A cyclone dust collector for a vacuum cleaner is provided to effectively collect dust by smoothly guiding foreign matters into a lower dust collecting space. CONSTITUTION: A cyclone dust collector(20) for a vacuum cleaner comprises a dust collecting case(21) having an inlet(21a) and in which a swirl is formed by the inflowing air, a cover(22) opening and closing the dust collecting case and through which filtered air passes, a filter unit(23) installed in the lower side of the cover and having an air flow portion(33) and an auxiliary filter(34), and a separating plate(24) dividing the dust collecting case into an upper dust collecting space(25) and a lower dust collecting space(25').
