<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL element drive circuit capable of protecting an EL element connected to an output and a drive circuit itself. SOLUTION: This EL element drive circuit is composed of an oscillating circuit 2, a booster circuit 1 to boost a DC voltage inputted by switching control by the output of the oscillating circuit, and a switching circuit 14 operated by the supply of an output voltage boosted by the booster circuit 1 to switching- drive the EL element 23 based on the output of the oscillating circuit 2. A detecting circuit 16 to detect an abnormal voltage in the output of the booster circuit 1 is provided, and the output signal of the oscillating circuit 2 to supply to the booster circuit 1 is cut off based on the output signal of the detecting circuit 16 to stop the operation of the booster circuit 1.</p> |
