PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that input current increases under constant-power control in a stable lighting state in the case of reduction of input voltage of a discharge lamp lighting device to increase a heat amount in the input-side (primary-side) component, so that generated positive feedback relation between the increase of the input current and the heat of the component causes heat to the lighting device, which possibly damage it. SOLUTION: In this discharge lamp lighting device, output voltage is controlled according to the input voltage in the stable lighting of a discharge lamp. |
