PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor capable of improving torque produced by a motor while preventing magnetic saturation in the motor provided with a magnet built-in rotor. SOLUTION: In the rotor of the motor having a plurality of first permanent magnets 3 arranged along the external periphery of a rotor core 2, the rotor is provided with: a plurality of second permanent magnets 7, 7' arranged at internal peripheral sides of the first permanent magnets with regard to the respective first permanent magnets 3; and third permanent magnets 8, 8' that are arranged inside the second permanent magnets and have flux densities lower than those of the second permanent magnets with regard to the respective second permanent magnets. As a result, since d-axis inductance is decreased and q-axis inductance is increased by preventing the magnetic saturation between the first permanent magnets and the second permanent magnets, the torque produced by the motor can effectively be improved.
