PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which is made to be further miniaturized and thinned by improving a means for fixing a display unit to a housing in using the display unit which is formed so as to have different thickness dimensions depending on portions. SOLUTION: In an imaging apparatus such as a digital camera, when a display unit 12 so formed as to have a dimension from one side to the other side is arranged on, e.g. a rear cover 11 in the housing thereof, a supporting member 15 for pressing the unit 12 on the inner surface side of the cover 11 to support the unit 12 is arranged on a portion having a smaller thickness dimension of the unit 12 to support the unit 12, thereby enabling high-density mounting of an internal layout in a thickness direction (depth) of a device and miniaturization and thinning of the device. Further, by employing a constitution in which one end side of the member 15 is engaged and the other end side is fixed, a space for mounting the unit 12 on one end can be made small and a camera is made small in dimension of a widthwise direction.
