PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring device in which the operating/stopping states of a plurality of loads can be simultaneously confirmed and resistance properties to disturbance or noise is improved. SOLUTION: In the lighting state of a load 3, a load current flowing thereto is detected by a transmitter 5, a frequency thereof is modulated to a high frequency signal, the signal is encoded and the current is superimposed on a lighting cable 1. A receiver 6 receives a signal presenting the lighting state of the load 3 transmitted through the lighting wire 1, identifies the encoded signal and specifies the transmitter 5, which transmits the signal. Then, a light emitting diode D2 corresponding to the specified transmitter 5 is turned on.
