PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal with which an unfair practice can be easily looked through by leaving a trace on the seal when the unfair practice that the seal is peeled without leaving a trace behind by dropping a solvent on the seal to soften an adhesive agent, the peeled seal is stuck on an imitation to sale the imitation by making the imitation look like the genuine, is performed. SOLUTION: An authentication seal produced by successively laminating a solvent-soluble ink layer, an adhesive agent layer and a release agent on one side surface of a base material, an authentication seal in which ink of the solvent-soluble ink layer consists of a solvent-soluble dyestuff and a polymer compound and an authentication seal in which a cholesteric liquid crystal layer is disposed on an opposed surface of the base material provided with the solvent-soluble ink layer, are provided.
