PURPOSE: A method for controlling power of a mobile communication terminal having dual display devices is provided to turn on/off back light and internal/external display devices of a folder, according to closed/open states, calling states, and message states of the folder, thereby reducing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: While a folder-type terminal is in idle state(S101), if a call is received(S102) to ring a bell(S103), the terminal displays caller ID on an external display device and turns on back light(S104). A user selects a receiving mode, whether to answer the phone or be in idle state, or reject a call(S105). If the user wants to immediately answer the phone(S106), the user opens a folder of the terminal(S107), or presses a send key of an earphone(S111), or presses a predetermined button outside of the terminal(S112). If the user starts talking on the phone, internal/external display devices and the back light are turned off(S108). If the call is completed(S109) or the user completes the call(S113), the terminal returns to the idle state(S110). |
