PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling a trouble on a duplexing board are provided for a processor of a waiting board to process a continuous service using latched operation cycle information although a trouble is occurred in a corresponding active board by latching and managing the current operation cycle information being processed by a processor of an active board in a latch unit of the waiting board. CONSTITUTION: A latch unit(26b) of a waiting board(20B) latches the current operation cycle information being performed by a processor(21a) of an active board(20A). In the case that a trouble is generated in the active board(20A), a processor(21b) of the waiting board(20B) reads operation cycle information latched in the latch unit(26b) and performs a process for a continuous service. The operation cycle information includes an address, data, and a control signal being processed for a service in the processor(21a) of the active board(20A). The processor(21b) of the waiting board(20B) analyzes a trouble generation cause of the active board(20A), performs a corresponding trouble recovery process, and performs a process for a continuous service.
