PURPOSE: A device for controlling operation of linear compressor is provided to improve operational efficiency of the linear compressor by controlling stroke by changing amount of work operation value. CONSTITUTION: A device includes a linear compressor(L.COMP); a voltage detective part(300); a current detective part(200); a displacement calculation part(400); a work operation part(500); a micro computer(600); and an electric circuit part(100). The displacement calculation part calculates displacement by voltage and current detected by the voltage detective part and the current detective part. The work operation part receives displacement and current from the displacement calculation part and the current detective part to operate to output corresponding work operation signal(W). The micro computer receives work operation signal from the work operation part to compare with previous work operation signal to output corresponding switching control signal. The electric circuit part intermits alternating current power by a triac(Tr1) to impress stroke voltage to the linear compressor by the switching control signal of the micro computer.
