MOLD FOR COCHLEAR ELECTRODE AND ITS FABRICATING METHOD USING MICRO-MACHINING TECHNOLOGY

PURPOSE: Mold for cochlear electrode and its fabricating method using micro-machining technology are provided to make an electrode used for an artificial cochlea having a constant and precise interface impedance. CONSTITUTION: A forming frame(602) for forming an electrode carrier is symmetrically formed within the upper and lower metal molds in a manger shape of straight line type. A groove of predetermined width and length is longitudinally formed in the direction parallel to the forming frame at an inside lower part of the forming frame of the lower mold. An electrode site mold(603) of the equivalent width and length is formed on the groove at the inside lower part of the forming frame and is provided with fine grooves(604) for the electrode site.
