PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blockage preventing device and method for energy-saving type slurry conveyance which can reduce consumption power of a vibration generator. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a slurry conveying path, a plurality of vibration applying devices provided in this conveying path, a means for detecting blockage or a sign of blockage of the conveying path, a control means for activating the vibration applying device based on a detection signal from this detecting means, and a device for measuring vibration of the conveying path, an optimal vibration according to the frequency and amplitude of vibration measured by the vibration measuring device is applied by the vibration applying device sequentially from downstream of the conveying path, and the vibration applying device applies vibration from a plurality of positions on the cross section of the conveying path.
