PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a portable tool which prevents easy slip-off, and achieves excellent operability with respect to mounting and demounting. SOLUTION: The holder for a portable tool consits of an attachment bracket 1 which is formed in a tapered tip shape, and fixed and is retained on the portable tool, and of a holder body 2 which engages with the attachment bracket freely attachably and detachably so as to retain the portable tool. The holder body is provided with an accommodating space into which the attachment bracket is slid by employing a groove as a guide, and a stopper 4 for preventing pull-out from the accommodating space by abutting onto the rear end corner part of the attachment bracket accommodated in the accommodating space. The stopper is configured by a slider 4C which allows pull-out of the attachment bracket from the accommodating space by releasing the abutting state with the rear end corner part of the attachment bracket by a forced slide on the slope extended diagonally downward while maintaining the abutting state with the attachment bracket by an elastic member.
