PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and easily carry out delivery work of a counterweight suspending rope upon extension work of a head. SOLUTION: A carrier 5 is made to rise to an upper part of a steel tower 2 before extension and stop there, a counterweight 10 is installed at a lower part position, a rope extension auxiliary device 20 to temporarily support a suspending rope 9 of the counterweight is mounted on a side part of the steel tower, the suspending rope 9 is held on it, an excessively wound amount of the suspending rope is delivered from a carrier loaded excessively winding drum 11, the steel tower is added onto an existing steel tower, the carrier 5 is made to rise up to a position immediately under a top part carrying tongs 7 after turning the top part carrying tongs 7 to a top part on the extension steel tower, looseness of the delivered suspending rope 9 is taken up on the excessively winding drum 11 by eliminating looseness of the suspending rope 9, the suspending rope 9 of a temporarily supporting part is strained by the rope extension auxiliary device 20 along with looseness eliminating operation of an extended amount, and the rope extension auxiliary device 20 is removed after the suspending rope 9 of the counterweight is strained in a state free to drive. |
