PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module which can be manufactured in stable yield even in the case a lens holder and a molding are joined together by adhesive, and to provide the camera module manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The camera module is provided with the molding 6 with an imaging device 10 attached, and the lens holder 4 attached to the molding 6 while holding the image pickup lens 2. The adhesive is filled in between the lens holder 4 and the molding 6 through a notched part 4a formed on the side face of the lens holder 4, then, the lens holder 4 is joined to the molding 6.
