PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method and a device capable of obtaining images with a color video camera without reflection image of light source, which was conventionally impossible, and automatically recording images with a simple and space saving mechanism. SOLUTION: When the lid surface of a glossy drum is photographed for a purpose of inspection and the like, the drum is put on a rotational device. For obtaining images without the reflection image of the light source for drum lid illumination, a plurality of illuminations placed in various angle positions above the lid are turned on in turn, a part with the reflection image of each light source is discarded and the other part than the discarded part is synthesized to obtain a complete lid surface image.
