PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iodine filter performance evaluation device capable of executing with specific test conditions such as temperature, humidity and velocity. SOLUTION: In the iodine filter performance evaluation device and its operation method, a pre-filter and a fine particle filter (HEPA filter) are placed in a gas flow path. A gas control system is provided downstream the HEPA filter. The gas flow path is split downstream the gas control system into three systems of iodine generation system, a humidifying system and a by-pass system. Downstream each system, the three systems merge in a mixing system and is connected with further downstream test piece system as a system of gas flow path. Downstream the test piece system, a backup system is placed.
