PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furniture looseness preventive fitting which prevents rattle of furniture, and eliminates difficulty of opening/closing the furniture. SOLUTION: The looseness preventive fitting 1 is formed of a main body 10 which is mounted in an upper take-in portion 61, and an overhanging portion 20 which is formed as part of the main body 10 and overhangs from a notch 61b of the upper take-in portion 61 on both sides of the main body. The overhanging portion 20 is an arcuate cantilever spring having one end thereof borne by a side wall 11 of the main body 10. Therefore, when the upper take-in portion 61 is inserted into a groove of a head jamb in a house, the overhanging portion 20 abuts its central portion on an inner surface of the groove, and it is elastically deformed toward the main body 10. In this manner, the overhanging portion changes its overhanging width on both sides thereof according to the width of the groove of the head jamb.
