<p>An article of clothes of a type fittedely worn on a body. The article is made of a stretchable warp fabric the ground texture of which is knitted with a non-elastic yarn and into which an elastic yarn of 231 dtex or less is inserted. The knitted texture appearing on the front side of the ground fabric knitted with the non-elastic yarn is so knitted into a pattern composed of a thin portion and a thick portion by division knitting by jacquard control in response to the request of the strength of the constricting force at the portion fitted to the body. At least one of the boundaries of the dividedly knitted part between the thick and thin portions is curved. The stretchable article of a type so worn as to be fitted to the body is made by using at least a warp fabric N having a part where the wale density A per unit width of the thick portion and the wale density B per unit width of the thin portion satisfy the inequalities 0.6A ≤ B ≤ 0.8A. The article expresses a beautiful three-dimensional silhouette of the body and gives little sense of tightness and little sense of constriction. Further, the article is thin, lightweight, easy to wear, and easy to fit. Therefore, the stretchable article of a fit type using a warp knitted fabric having a body-type correcting function in some degree is provided.</p> |
