PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope which permits simultaneous and simple specimen observation at different magnifications. SOLUTION: The observation light of the specimen 18 is split to two directions; a transmission direction (a) and a deflection direction (b) by a prism 22. A CCD camera 27 for imaging the entire part of the segments desired to be observed of the specimen 18 is arranged in the optical path of the deflection direction (b) of the described above deflection directions and a CCD camera 37 is arranged in the optical path of the transmission direction (a). The CCD camera 37 is supported at an X-Y stage made movable in parallel to an imaging plane, by which the imaging of the noticed segment among the entire part of the segments desired to be observed of the specimen 18 is made possible. The simultaneous observation of the low-magnification observation image and high-magnification observation image on the specimen 18 is made possible by the respective picked up images of the CCD cameras 27 and 37.
