1349065 Pressurizer device for use in glass ribbon machine OWENS-ILLINOIS Inc 1 Jan 1971 [2 Jan 1970 16 Jan 1970] 34722/73 Divided out of 1349064 Heading C1M A pressurizer device for blowing air into the mouth of a glass article 19 suspended from a glass ribbon 13 on a plate conveyer 14 during the crack-off of moil 23, as in Specification 1,349,064, comprises a pipe 22 with central aperture 26 connected to a source 54 of air under pressure and a nozzle head 22b having an outer axial end wall 27, an annular and outwardly flared side wall and a series of upwardly inclined apertures 25 arranged annularly about the side wall so that when in position close to the inside surface of the article 19, air supplied to the pipe is directed by the apertures 25 upwardly and outwardly to prevent broken glass entering the article 19.
