PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating gate capable of being used even between both ends of a large-diameter place and even in an installation condition in which a stream of water exists. SOLUTION: This floating gate 10 is composed of: gate supporting parts 12 which face each other in a state of sandwiching a water way 11 in between; and a floating body 13 which is made movable by floating up between the supporting parts 12 and made fixable by undergoing water injection, so as to open/close the water way 11. A floating body supporting base 15 for placing and supporting the floating body 13 is provided on a bottom of the water way 11 between the supporting parts 12; and the floating body 13 is provided with a pump 18 which serves as a thruster by jetting the water during floating movement and fulfills a function of discharging the water on the side of navigable waters at fixation. Thus, the pump 18, which is installed in the floating body 13, is made to serve as the thruster by jetting the water during the floating movement, so that the floating body 13 can be towed to a section between the prescribed supporting parts 12 even if the stream of the water exists; and when the floating body 13 is fixed to the supporting base 15 by the water injection, the water on the side of the navigable waters is discharged, so that the floating gate 10 can be made to serve as a drainage pump station and can be installed in the large- diameter place.
