PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stronger augmenting method to external force such as waves and traction force. SOLUTION: A top slab 6, which is mounted on a structure body, is removed from the structure body 7 in which a retarding chamber 17 is built-in, and at the same time, which has a large number of openings 16 communicating with the retarding chamber 17 at a front wall part 18. Then, a joint part 21 projecting on a separation face of the structure body is removed. Augmenting units 30a, 30b, and 30c, which are previously manufactured, are added on the separation face of the structure body. After that, the top slab 6 is returned on the augmented augmenting units 30a, 30b, and 30c, and the joint parts 29 on the side of the augmenting units and the joint parts on the side of the top slab are joined each other by fasteners.
