PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and rapidly carry out installation of a weir in piping, which has an inside diameter large enough for a person to conduct work inside and has at least one end opened, and the removal of the installed weir from inside the piping. SOLUTION: Characteristically, a weir device for the piping 2 is equipped with: paired pipe wall openings Q11, Q12, Q21 and Q22 which are formed by facing a side surface of the piping 2; rod supporting pipes 1111, 1112, 1121 and 1122 which are protrusively formed by being paired on the outside of the piping 2 in the openings Q11, Q12, Q21 and Q22 and whose protrusive ends are opened or closed; rods 121 and 122 which are provided between the two paired pipes 1111, 1112, 1121 and 1122 and whose both ends are inserted for fixation into the pipes 1111, 1112, 1121 and 1122, respectively; and a plate material 13 which is mounted on each of the rods 121 and 122 so that a gap cannot be made between at least a lower edge or a side edge and an inner surface of the piping 2.
