METHOD FOR PRODUCING AMIDE COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an amide compound in a high yield with a high productivity through a Beckmann rearrangement of an oxime compound in a liquid phase under mild reaction conditions. SOLUTION: The method is used for producing the target amide compound through subjecting the oxime compound to the Beckmann rearrangement reaction in the liquid phase. This method is characterized by comprising the steps of (1) subjecting the oxime compound to the rearrangement reaction in the presence of the anhydride of a strong acid and an N,N-bisubstituted amide compound, (2) obtaining a salt by neutralizing a strong acid derived from the anhydride of the strong acid with an alkaline compound, (3) recovering a strong acid derived from the anhydride of the strong acid by applying another acid to the salt, and (4) recovering the anhydride of the strong acid by carrying out dehydrative condensation of the recovered strong acid.
