PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for storing a cationic resin-modified silica dispersion, by which the cationic resin-modified silica dispersion does not cause the deterioration of the performance (the deterioration of water resistance, when used for ink jet recording paper), even when stored for a long period and used to prepare a coating liquid, can be stored for a long period, and can thereby set the pot life, and further by which the production of the cationic resin- modified silica dispersion and the ink jet recording paper can easily be controlled. SOLUTION: This method for storing the cationic resin-modified silica dispersion is characterized by storing the cationic resin-modified silica dispersion prepared by silica and a cationic resin in a polar solvent, in a temperature range of 5 to 30 deg.C. |
